Breaking The Bad Boys By J.T Hardt
Book Review: A Story That Missed Its Mark ππ
You know that feeling when a book should work for you — the premise is intriguing, the HEA is there π — but somehow it just doesn’t land? Unfortunately, that was the case with this read for me.
I went in with high hopes, and while the plot had real potential, the execution didn’t quite deliver. The pacing felt rushed, which made it hard to settle into the story or connect fully with the characters. POV and timeline shifts created more confusion than intrigue π€, and several plot points that seemed important were left dangling without resolution.
That said, I can see the bones of a strong story here. With more room to breathe — perhaps as a longer standalone or even a multi-book series π✨ — this could have been something really special.
πΆ Spice Rating:
2/5 — Light heat π₯π. There are a few intimate scenes sprinkled in, adding a touch of romance, but they stay on the milder side. Enough to spark chemistry, but not enough to be a main selling point.
⭐ Final Rating:
2/5 stars ⭐⭐
A story with promise that ultimately fell short for me. While I appreciated the concept and the HEA, the rushed pacing and underdeveloped plot threads left me unsatisfied. I pushed through because I rarely DNF π, but it isn’t one I’d revisit.
